Thomas Hilton Cawthon., M.D., FACS, P.C. 

Thomas H. Cawthon, MD is board certified in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery (ENT). He practices in Montgomery, Alabama as a partner of Montgomery Otolaryngology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.  Dr. Cawthon has served on the Board of Directors of Jackson Hospital and Clinic, The Montgomery Surgical Center, and the Advisory Board of Trustmark Bank. He has also served as the Montgomery Medical Society President.  Dr. Cawthon received a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Georgia, completed medical school at the Medical College of Georgia, completed residency in otolaryngology at Tulane University, and following two years in the United States Army as an otolaryngologist, he began his practice in Montgomery in 1977.  As the senior partner of River Region Facial Plastics, Dr. Cawthon continues to use his years of training and experience to give his patients the utmost care and consideration when enhancing their appearance through his services and those of his staff.

Dr. Cawthon loves spending time in the wilderness with his wife, Lyn, and their dogs. Spending quality time with his children and grandchildren gives Dr. Cawthon great pride and pleasure.

Olan N. Evans, M.D.

After graduating for the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, Dr. Evans completed his internship at the Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans. He received his Board Certification in Otolaryngology after completing residency training at the University of Miami. Before retuning to Alabama and joining the physicians at Montgomery Otolaryngology in 1991, Dr. Evans was in practice at the McGuire Clinic in Richmond for nine years.



Gregory H. Borg, M.D.

Dr. Borg specializes in general Otolaryngology and head and neck surgery, but has a special interest in thyroid surgery and allergy problems. He attended the University of Texas at Austin where he graduated with high honors, and then attended the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. He received his medical degree in 1981, and performed his surgical internship at the same institution. At that time, he worked for two years for the Indian Health Service in Oklahoma. He then resumed his medical training at the University of Arkansas for Medical Services in 1988. He joined Montgomery Otolaryngology at that time. He belongs to numerous medical societies, and serves on the board of some of these organizations.


Stephen W. Chandler, O.D., M.D. 

Board Certified in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, and graduated in 1997 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Doctorate in Medicine. In 2002 Dr. Chandler completed an extensive residency program in Morgantown, West Virginia at West Virginia University.  

Sinus disease is a favorite of Dr. Chandler's and he has completed over 20,000 sinus procedures since joining Montgomery Otolaryngology in 2002. Dr. Chandler is a pioneer in Sinus Balloon Dilation, an in office procedure that gives immediate relief with no downtime. Dr. Chandler has authored numerous publications and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology.

In his free time Dr. Chandler enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 children, reading and researching.  Recently in 2014 Dr. Chandler was named as first inventor on a patent for a migraine relief device, Cephalgiacath.  To date Dr. Chandler is named on 6 U.S. Patents relative to devices to treat issues of the head and neck.  


Dr. Susan Aguiar, M.D 

Dr. Aguiar is board certified in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. She treats patients of all ages. Her clinical interests include allergy, sinus disease, thyroid surgery, and care of the professional voice. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, and belongs to the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, and the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Aguiar received her Masters in Public Health at the University of South Florida College of Public Health, and her MD at the University of Iowa College of Medicine.
